To share a little bit about me and my story, I started my trauma healing journey about 3 years ago after the loss of my Dad. He had suffered for over 15 years with autoimmune diseases that gradually got worse, which I now believe was due to his unresolved emotional trauma, loneliness, unexpressed grief and unexpressed anger. After he died, and during the pandemic, I had nowhere else to turn but inwards. The strange turn of events of grieving the loss of my Dad during a global pandemic lead me to my own healing journey where I dedicated my time to understanding my own trauma, feeling my feelings, and generally learning all I could about trauma and healing. If I knew back then what I know now, I truly believe I could’ve helped my Dad heal and recover both emotionally and physically. Sadly that’s no longer possible. So the next best thing is sharing what I know with others and helping people heal themselves so that the domino effect can continue.
I am now trained in Somatic Attachment Therapy, and have also studied from leaders in the trauma healing space such as Dr Gabor Maté, Dr Richard Schwartz, Dr Nicole Le Pera and Mastin Kipp. I've committed myself to my own healing journey over the last few years and have found purpose in supporting others on their own healing paths in life.
My vision and my mission in life is now to help people understand their trauma and learn the tools to help heal their unresolved trauma and regulate their nervous systems. I am also incredibly interested in how unresolved trauma and chronic stress can cause physical health issues such as autoimmune conditions, and how trauma healing can heal people both emotionally and physically from this, backed up by scientific studies. I'm grateful to be a part of this community pushing for change in this area.
